In 2025, I was a Lambda Literary Fellow in Nonfiction and was the 2025 Cody John Laplante scholarship recipient.
GAS Foundation's Mid-Carrer Art Writer Fellowship.
I was one of the five people shortlisted for the 2026 Guests. Artists. Space. Fellowship Award under the mid-career art writers fellowship.
The Future Awards Africa.
In February 2022, I got nominated for The Future Awards Prize for Journalism. I was the youngest nominee on the list.
Kekere Storytellers Cohort.
In 2022, I joined the Africa No Filter (ANF) Kekere Storytellers Cohort as a winner of their grant. As a cohort, I created engaging and humanizing pieces about the LGBTQ+ community in Nigeria and worked with writers to find better ways to tell stories.
